Today was a travel day, so we made our way from Williams, AZ to Flagstaff, where we ate lunch at the Tinderbox Cafe. Kylie learned what a hostel was and Eric and I took a stroll downtown (Kylie wasn't feeling well so she stayed back in the MH to rest). We then made our way south towards Phoenix, stopping at Slide Rock along the way.
For those not familiar with slide rock, it's a natural waterslide just north of Sedona, AZ. The water was so very cold that I couldn't stand to keep my feet in for very long before they started to actually hurt. Believe it or not there were people actually sliding down the rock (I think on purpose but who knows it was very slippery). Kylie was running a fever and we thought the cool water would help bring her fever down. She wanted to go swimming but by the time we hiked back up to the MH so she could change clothes she was too tired to go back and gave up on the idea. We made our way south and the views as we got closer to Sedona were absolutely beautiful. We stopped in Sedona to get out and walk around (Kylie wasn't up to it)
We continued on south until we reached Phoenix. We checked into the campground and made our way to the hospital to get Kylie some antibiotics.
She had progressively gotten worse as the vacation wore on and by this time was running a pretty good fever and feeling pretty bad. So we spent the night in the ER and then filling her prescription.
